From the M6 motorway leave at Junction 36 and travel West following signs for Windermere. Upon your approach to Windermere the A591 descends to a large junction signposted left to Windermere and Lake. Just beyond this junction is a pedestrian crossing. Parking is on the left beyond this.
Traveling from the North you will approach on the A591 from Ambleside. We are just 20m on the right past the first junction sign posted A5074 to Windermere town centre.
If you are traveling by train, leave the railway station and in front of you is a Nat West bank, cross the road and staying on the main road we are approx 50m on the left.

Orrest Cottage is situated less than 200m from the Windermeres British Rail Station, (please let us know in advance if you require help with your luggage) and just a 2 minute walk to Windermere village, with its resturants, public bars and shops to suit all tastes and purses.
If you are travelling to us by car we are on the A591 between the two roads leading into Windermere town centre. There is ample parking to the front of the guest house.
